About Stacy Metz

Stacy has had a love for gospel music since she was a child listening to her grandfather, in his rich bass voice, belt out old hymns like “When We All Get to Heaven”, or “I’ll Fly Away”, with tears streaming down his face.  It wasn’t until years later, after her own salvation, that she understood why those songs meant so much to him.  Stacy began singing gospel music over 30 years ago as a soloist in local churches, in trios and duets, and as a member of a women’s sextet. She joined the original Sacred Call in 2008 as tenor/soprano until 2016 when she stepped down to fulfill family responsibilities.  Serving as a dedicated member of the praise teams of churches she has attended, Stacy has also been privileged to encourage many through speaking and writings, in addition to song.  Her bond with an audience and heartfelt delivery has blessed many through the years.  One of Stacy’s favorite scripture verses can be found in Psalm 59:16-17 where David could proclaim, even in his troubles, “But I will sing of Your strength, in the morning I will sing of Your love; for You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing praise to You; You, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.”
